Tamar Zeynep

Tamar Zeynep is a Turkish actor, a dubbing artist and an executive producer who now is relocated in the UK.

As a respected actor in Turkey, she feels that she has reached a point in her career where she wants to prove herself internationally and she has the English language skills to enable her to do so.

Tamar Zeynep had a particularly strong academic career prior to embarking on her career as a professional actor. She studied for her first undergraduate degree in the UK, graduating in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Portsmouth. This period of study was especially useful for Tamar Zeynep as living in the UK gave her a thorough understanding of British culture.

Tamar Zeynep spent two years studying musical acting at the Pera Fine and Performing Arts School in Istanbul, before studying French for two years at the Universite Catholique de Lyon in France, further broadening her cultural experiences.

Between 2003 and 2005, Tamar Zeynep worked on her acting with Studio Players in Istanbul while winning her first professional roles in the TV series “Opening the Doors” and “A Slice of Love”.

During this period, Tamar Zeynep also started studying for her second undergraduate degree at Istanbul Bilgi University, majoring in Management of Performing Arts with a minor in Photography and Video, adding to her extensive knowledge of the sector and giving her skills to support her professional career in acting.

Tamar Zeynep continued to study and work concurrently, taking part in several stage productions with Studio Players and gaining her first major role in a feature film in 2008’s “The Heaven”. This was quickly followed by roles in the TV series “Head of the Family” and the film “One After the Other”, and three seasons of theatrical productions with Kedi Theatre, performing works by such writers as Shakespeare, Cervantes and Dumas.

In 2015, Tamar Zeynep took part in the feature film “The Fish in Me” as well as a role in the Fox TV series “My Husband Got a Family”. She executive produced the documentary “Wish Factory” the same year.

Since then, Tamar Zeynep has been performing as a dubbing artist for the major Swedish audiobook producer Storytel.

Tamar Zeynep has displayed an impressive commitment to her personal and professional development outside of her formal academic studies. She has taken piano lessons and singing lessons, taken part in dance workshops and developed skills in equestrianism, all of which are potential assets to her professional acting career in the UK.
